Susan Byrd received a BA from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from The University of Houston.

Her first position after graduation was marketing UNIX equipment to large companies in the Chicago area. Subsequently, she did beta testing and technical writing for a small software company in Houston, Texas.

Her entrepreneurial nature pushed her to form her own computer training company where she focused on executive training, requiring a consultative, one-on-one approach to accommodate the fast paced, high demand schedules of her executive clients. Her initial business success was followed by starting and selling four more small businesses.
